Couples & Relationships
Initial
Consult
A free 15-minute consultation to get a sense for if we are the right fit, discuss your goals, and ask any questions you may have. We might discuss finances, insurance coverage, my approach, and admin related topics to help you make the right choice. No question is off limits!
Initial
Session
A 50 or 75-minute session where I get to know you both a little more in-depth. We will discuss what brought you to therapy as well as hear a bit into your relationship dynamic. Don’t stress - it’s not expected of you to share everything right away and I am here to guide you. Share what you are comfortable with, and I’ll ask questions to get to know your relationship better.
Second
Session
This is our individual session - a 50 or 75-minute session split meeting you both on your own. This allows you to expand on your perspective of why you are coming to therapy, gives a bit of time for me to get to know you a bit better as an individual, your family history, and your commitment to the relationship.
Third
Session
This is our feedback session - a 50 or 75-minute session where we come back together to discuss findings so far. We’ll talk about strengths of the relationship, areas for growth, patterns identified, and determine therapeutic goals together. Together, we will create a roadmap for future sessions, prioritizing what to work on first and ensuring we’re all on the same page.
Ongoing
Sessions
We work through exercises, practice using tools, and continue to identify relationship patterns. We’re focused on building new skills, new communication patterns, and addressing core issues keeping you in present conflict. The length of time together depends on the goals we’re working towards, efforts outside of sessions, and how ready you feel to continue independently.
Who you are
Relationships can be a source of deep connection and support, but they can also become places where painful patterns, miscommunication, and disconnection emerge. Many couples find themselves stuck in cycles of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding, even when they care deeply for one another. These patterns often reflect underlying emotional needs, attachment wounds, and protective responses that developed over time.
Importantly, and this is super key, you do not need to be fighting all the time or considering ending a relationship to engage with couples therapy. Couples therapy is for those who are looking to enhance communication skills, improve relationship dynamics, or just work through the day to day in a safe and constructive space.
How I work
In couples therapy, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space to help you slow down and understand the patterns you’re experiencing together. My work integrates the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches help couples improve communication, understand the deeper emotions beneath conflict, and strengthen emotional safety and connection.
Together, we focus on helping each partner feel seen, heard, and understood, while supporting repair, rebuilding trust, and fostering a more secure and meaningful bond. Whether you are navigating ongoing conflict, healing after rupture, or wanting to deepen your connection, therapy can help you move toward a relationship that feels more connected, resilient, and supportive.
I work virtually with couples who are feeling stuck, misunderstood, keep having the same conflicts, or just want to learn ways to improve together. Whether you are dating, co-parenting, married, have an open relationship, or any other dynamic - you are welcome here.
